Bioanalytical Services

Measuring endogenous compounds such as steroid hormones and xenobiotics (drugs and their metabolites) is of major importance to fully grasp their pharmacological and/or physiological role and the mechanism of their action in the living systems.  The CRCHUQ Bioanalytical Services, located at the Pavillon CHUL (4th floor, Bloc T) now offer a range of services that may be of interest to both the academia researchers and the pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

Development and Validation of Bioanalytical Methods

Based on the many years of experience in the field of bioanalysis under GLP conditions, the personnel of the Bioanalytical Services can achieve the development and validation of bioanalytical methods for a variety of endogenous and exogenous compounds, including hormones and drugs. The diversity of hormone assays such as steroids and their quantification in various biological fluids, culture media and tissues are amongst the most distinctive forces of our Services.

Routine Analysis

Samples in large scale from R&D studies, as well as clinical and pre-clinical trials can also be routinely assayed by the Bioanalytical Services.

Equipments Available

High performance liquid and gas chromatographs, all coupled with mass spectrometry, a powerful tool for the identification of biomolecules, are among the numerous available instruments of the Bioanalytical Services and they can ensure the detection and quantification of compounds at the picogram level.
